Milestones Gatherings

Overview:

Milestones Gatherings are now open to everyone! Join Marty Lerner and Theresa Wright for a freewheeling discussion. These dates Saturdays 11:30 AM to 2 PM – bring your lunch; coffee, tea, water, and seltzer are provided. Cost is $20. All Gatherings are at the Renaissance Nutrition Center unless otherwise noted.

Reboot Your Recovery

A Weekend for Reevaluation, Renewal, and Restoration

Overview:

Are you finding yourself able to maintain a period of abstinence - then something goes wrong, and before you know it your are back into the food? Did the holidays play havoc with your recovery program? This special weekend has two goals. First to teach you how to get out of that “slippery struggling space” or how to turn a relapse around; and second to teach you how to create and manage a spiritual recovery program. You will learn how to:

• Understand your process of slips and relapses
• Identify your best tools for recovery from relapse
• Learn to use your tools to re-establish abstinence
• Learn how to define and maintain your abstinence

To create, manage, and maintain a powerful, spiritual recovery program focusing on lifestyle change, spirituality, and self management skills and strategies, you will learn the principles of:

• Managing your recovery process
• Redefining and adapting your abstinence
• Self Care - the essential spiritual boundary
• Personal growth - creating the life you really want
• Spirituality and fellowship - letting Higher Power and
other people help you

In this two day program, you will learn to plan and begin to create the joyful, useful life you have wanted, free of food cravings, issues, and struggles, full of freedom, joy, and hope.

Marching to the Beat of a Different Drummer

A Weekend for Reflection, Resolution, and Renewal

Overview:

How do you create a strong recovery program? What is the difference between following a food plan and working a strong recovery program? How do you handle feeling different from the rest of the world? How do you get a strong spiritual connection? How can you create a spiritual program that works for you? How do you draw effective boundaries with yourself and others? How could you apply spiritual principles to your recovery plan? Join us in the process of creating a new, revised, and more effective recovery program.

• Using your food plan as a spiritual boundary
• Taking responsibility for nourishing and caring for the body
• The practice of mindful, attentive eating
• Finding peace within your food plan
• Allowing your Higher Power help you maintain food abstinence
• Creating your daily recovery practice
• Creating a spiritual practice that helps you grow
• Drawing boundaries with others not on your path
• Creating freedom from food abuse and obsession

To benefit from this program, you must believe that your Higher Power exists and be willing to deepen your relationship with the God of your understanding. This program is based on the principles of the Twelve Step Program, and does not profess any religious ideology.

Recovery - In Full Bloom - Buds Into Blossoms

Overview:

Recovery might be represented as a flower garden in different stages of growth. Are you waiting to bloom but in need of nourishment, deeper roots, or coming into the sun? This workshop can provided an opportunity for you to examine, in a supportive group, the seeds that you’ve sewn.


Identify what you need to transition from buds to blossoms. Explore how you can get your seeds to full bloom. This workshop is an opportunity to achieve a growth spurt in recovery , addressing several life areas that have been stumbling blocks to abstinence, healthy relationships, and spirituality.

Flowers in full bloom represent the full potential and the beauty of recovery. This workshop is an opportunity to embrace the golden sunlight, earth's riches, and a spectrum of feelings through a variety of experiential and expressive exercises . Your seeds of recovery will blossom into a magnificent garden.
